Review Brent:
I think this was a really good show despite the small numbers of competitors. It ran very fast, and the crowd really enjoyed it. Being indoors was nice as well. Some of the events were new, no injuries, and a good time for all. Prizes $800, $400, $200

Farmers Walk (Ron's Autobody) Review Brent:
The 250 and 275 were using the low Pulse farmers, and the 300 was on the higher pick ones. Curt was first to go and set a good mark. I went 2nd and my plan was to beat Curts mark. After doing that..i went on to finish..though not fast. But Tim put in a huge eforrt to complete..and got very close. I think he picked the 300s up at least 5 times. Impressive. Rules Farmers Walk Medley

Viking Press (AMC Signs) Review Brent:
This was done using the Pulse apparatus with 240 lbs in plates. Estimated it to be around 260 lbs in total. We choose to allow double knee bend to help more guys get reps. Still too heavy for most. John got 2 reps for 2nd, Tim was very close to 1. With better technique it would have happened. I pressed out 5 for the win. Rules 260lbs
Reps in 60 seconds
Implement may not touch the ground, if it does your done, ref will call good lift when locked out.

Conans Wheel (Altona Hotel) Review Brent:
Curt went fairly early and walked 1 1/4 laps. Setting the mark to beat. We all had a tought time getting there. I went for 1 lap to take 2nd. Weight was heavy but good. Rules Conans Wheel for max distance. Weight 650lbs in plates
There will be a small starting area, you may drop in there, once you leave, no drops allowed.
Arm over Arm (Fountain Tire) Review Brent:
We used a semi tractor weighing about 18,000 lbs. Seemed way to light. Everyone had trouble hanging onto the rope. The new 1.5" manilla rope worked really nice though. 1st thru 3rd were with-in 2 seconds. Rules Arm over Arm pull

Fingal Fingers (Prairie Insurance) Review Brent:
This was the first time these had been used in a competition. We tested them twice and knew it would be hard. Everyone got two, but I was the only one that got pretty far with three. Really cool and hard event! Rules Five fingers

Atlas Stones (Superior Distributors) Review Brent:
Everyone did good with the stones. But Tim was awesome. Easily loading the 345. I was close, got it high enough..just to far away. Oh well. Also used to much tacky and slipped once on the 210. Still managed 2nd place. Rules 210lbs to 65"

Wheel Barrow (Glenberg Homes) Review Brent:
The wheel barrow was done using the pulse deadlift apparatus with wheels on it instead of the normal pivot. We then placed an 800lb tire near the handles. The pick height is a little lower then a normal deadlift with 45's and because of that this was more of a deadlift event then a walk event. Grip really was not a big part of it. I managed 940 for the win. Had I tried 1010, well..i am pretty sure I would not have made the lift. Curt and Tim both tied, unable to lift the 940. Rules Progressive Wheel Barrow

Medley (Canadian Lumber) Review Brent:
The medley was fairly hard for most. Tim and Curt were tied going into this event for 2nd. Was painful watching them both trying to move that yoke just a bit further. Head to head would have been so much better! Tim went first, and all Curt needed was to go a bit further..which I did. I was not moving my fastest, took some time to put on my belt after the tire. Managed to get the duck walk almost to the end before time ran out. Everyone was cheering, and Brian ..well…MADE me finish it anyway. Pretty hard. We did a 30' duck walk with 500lbs instead of stairs as we had problems with getting the stairs. Rules 800lb Tire Flip x 2
